The Parents' Committee provides valuable support to our School
community  and is open to all parents whose children are enrolled at St. Augustine's School.

Support occurs by:
  • creating a spirit of ownership and involvement.
  • creating a strong sense of belonging for both the children and the parents.
  • giving feedback and acting as a sounding board for the Principal.
  • providing suggestions relating to school policies and programs.
  • contributing to the social fabric through welcoming events and social opportunities.
  • managing and staging small fundraising activities/events.
The Committee has established a welcoming and open atmosphere for all parents through is voluntary nature.

Most meetings are scheduled in the evenings - 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Staff room.

One strength of this group has been its ability to form sub-committees that work on special projects and events. These sub-
committees have often been the conduit by which the wider parent community can be involved and where so much valuable
community building takes place. Sub-committee events can be as simple as the Easter Raffle or more extravagant as the BIG
Social Night out - 2017 saw the " Let's Rewind Back to 90's" take place. It was a great night for all that attended.

The specific roles that operate within the committee are:
  • Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Communication Officer

Each year we invite parents to complete Nomination Forms to appoint parents to each of the positions on the Committee.
