The Parents' Committee provides valuable support to our school community and is open to all parents whose children are enrolled at St Augustine’s School.
Support is provided through:
Fostering a sense of ownership and involvement
Creating a strong sense of belonging for both children and parents
Contributing to the school’s social fabric through welcoming events and social opportunities
Organising and running fundraising activities and events
The Committee has established a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all parents through its voluntary nature.
Most meetings are held in the evenings—on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the staffroom.
One of the group’s strengths is its ability to form sub-committees that focus on special projects and events. These sub-committees often serve as a bridge to involve the wider parent community, where much of the valuable community building takes place.
The specific roles within the Committee include:
Chairperson
Treasurer
Secretary
Each year, we invite parents to complete nomination forms to appoint members to these roles.
