Parents' Committee

The Parents' Committee provides valuable support to our school community and is open to all parents whose children are enrolled at St Augustine’s School.

Support is provided through:

• Fostering a sense of ownership and involvement

• Creating a strong sense of belonging for both children and parents

• Contributing to the school’s social fabric through welcoming events and social opportunities

• Organising and running fundraising activities and events

The Committee has established a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all parents through its voluntary nature.

Most meetings are held in the evenings—on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the staffroom.

One of the group’s strengths is its ability to form sub-committees that focus on special projects and events. These sub-committees often serve as a bridge to involve the wider parent community, where much of the valuable community building takes place.

The specific roles within the Committee include:

• Chairperson

• Treasurer

• Secretary

Each year, we invite parents to complete nomination forms to appoint members to these roles.
