In 2025, every student from Prep to Year 6 played a part in creating our very first picture book Potrick the Caterpillar picturebook. Through four collaborative writing sessions, junior and senior students were paired together to write, illustrate & design the story. Every child contributed to the creative process and with plenty of imagination and vibrant collage illustrations, Potrick’s world to life. 

Without giving too much away, Potrick the Caterpillar follows the adventures of a curious caterpillar named Potrick (not Patrick!) as he embarks on a series of fun-filled escapades. 

What makes the book truly unique is how it was written - each of the four student groups only had access to the section written before their turn, meaning even as the authors, they won’t know how it ends until the official launch!

We are proud to say Potrick the Caterpillar is available for purchasing! Printed on 100% recycled A4 paper and in coloured paperback form, we are selling copies of our first ever published book for $25 each. We are able to deliver anywhere in Australia for a flat rate of $10 per book. Alternatively we offer FREE local delivery (Yarraville, Seddon, Footscray) or pickup from St Augustine's Yarraville. 

Any profits made will go directly to sustaining our library & promoting literacy within the school.
